The Monument to the fallen Shipyard Workers of 1970
It is one of the most recognizable monuments in Gdansk. It is located in front of the Gdansk Shipyard (earlier known as the Lenin Shipyard) and in front of the recently opened (August 2014) European Solidarity Center.
It commemorates the workers who were killed in December 1970 in the so called Coastal cities events. Permission to erect that monument was given in the Gdansk Agreements.
The sight is on the tour: The Solidarity Route in Gdansk – The Lech Walesa tour and Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia in one day
